Die ersten Olympischen Spiele des Altertums wurden im Jahre 776 vor Christi Geburt von den Griechen zu Ehren ihrer Gotter,wie der Gottin Athene veranstaltet. Die allerwichtigsten Spiele galten dem Gottervater Zeus und wurden in Olympia abgehalten. Nach Olympiaden ,den vierjahrigen Zeittraumen zwischen den Spielen. Funf Tage lang wetteiferten die Griechen im Laufen,Ringen,Faustkampf,Funfkampf ( Lauf,weitsprung,Speer-und Diskuswurf,ringen ) ,und Pferderennen mit und ohne Wagen.
